About

Hello, my name is Scott Todd, and I pleased to have you visit my website. I know there are many photographers in Central Florida and I’m happy to have a chance to share with you some of my work.
My interest in photography began when I was a child, my father operated a residential studio in Tampa and as a young man, I was fascinated by all the camera gear and the studio equipment he had in the house. The laundry room doubled as the darkroom, one of the bedrooms was a photo studio complete with a Studio Background and all kinds of lights and a chair that spun around, there were some very cool things to play with in the house. I was able to watch him do family portraits, weddings and I was even able to watch him work for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during their first few seasons as he photographed the team and their games. It was cool seeing him on the field with his equipment and press pass.
As I grew older and technology evolved, I entered the world of digital photography with a point and shoot camera and in 2006, a good friend of mine and a great photographer introduced me to flickr [link] and from there I was hooked, again. The true point that I became hooked again was when I took this picture of the Wishes fireworks show at Walt Disney World and it quickly became one of the top images on Flickr.
Watching as people I didn’t even know compliment my work was thrilling. I think it’s cool that to this day, if you Google “Disney Fireworks” [link], you will see my picture is shown as one of the top 5 images, only behind fake simulated firework pictures.
Over the past 4 years my equipment and my skills improved dramatically and during this transitional time, I found out just how thrilling it is to photograph people. I find great satisfaction in capturing the special moments in people’s lives and I love seeing and hearing how much they love my work.
Although, photographing people is fun and exciting, capturing brides is the best. The excitement they display on their special day is awesome. I love capturing those creative special moments and I hope that one day I can capture you on your special day.
I have a unique perspective on how a wedding should be captured and photographed and I would love an opportunity to share with you my thoughts and philosophies. If you would like to speak with me regarding your upcoming wedding, please call me at 407-536-9090 or complete the form below and I will contact you.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
